The first stop on my professional path was at the graphic design booth.1 I soon learned how to make websites, and found myself a position designing and building news and magazine websites for Canada’s agriculture industry (the company's first developer).2 Then I got deeper into software engineering working for a company with some really big-time websites3 serving hot deals to tens of millions of people around the world— but I missed design! I ended up back in the agriculture sector, this time working with a small startup team on a B2B farm management app.4 When that company got acquired, everything got super messy for a few years, which helped me improve my soft skills, working with quickly shuffling teams and managers, all while trying to achieve meaningful success.5
